My Involvement in Nutrition & Fitness
I believe that feeling your best is the only way to go through life. One of the main ways to do this is to eat healthy and exercise. Our bodies are amazing machines and can really do a lot and change so much. Part of being healthy and living a long fulfilled life is working out on a regular basis and pushing your body to be the best it could be. We were designed to exercise and work our body to make it better. I feel that I must take advantage of that.
Over the years I have become aware of what and what not to eat in order to benefit my health and what workouts I should be doing for my body type.
My average day consists of eating a lot of protein, fruits and vegetables, lots of water and fresh tea, and of course the occasional sweet or two because we all need that sometimes. Depriving yourself of foods that you love is not the key to a healthy diet. We are all human and are going to indulge in our favorite foods and have cheat days once in a while. That's only normal- it's called balance. Most days i'll go to the gym and put in an hour workout. But some days I won't go- balance. I've come to terms with my life and who I want to be and how I want to live it. Working out does more for me than just make my body feel good, it helps my mind feel good too. It relieves stress and lets me free my mind for the hour I'm in the gym. This alone, in my opinion is essential to living a healthy life.
